CASWE-ACTFS Conference 2018

The University of Regina will be hosting the 2018 Congress of Humanities and Social Sciences on May 26- June 1, 2018. The Canadian Association for Social Work Education - l’Association Canadienne pour la Formation en Travail Social [CASWE-ACFTS] is hosting its annual conference during the 2018 Congress.

In preparation for this exciting event, the Faculty of Social Work CASWE –ACFTS Planning Committee would like to invite you to participate in a competition to design the artwork to be used on the posters and other promo-tional material. The artist/designer winning the competition will be recognized in the Conference program and receive a $300.00 prize.

Applications submitted will be reviewed by an adjudication panel. The successful artist/designer will collaborate with the planning committee to ensure  appropriate digital formatting and copyright clearance.

The theme selected for this years CASWE-ACTFS conference is “Honouring Reconciliation and Respecting our Differences”. Please see the attached copy of the theme and subthemes of the 2018 CASWE-ACFTS conference.

It will be helpful in your design to know that the overall theme of Congress 2018 is “Gathering Di-versities -- Diversités convergentes –  mâmawinitotân nanâtohk-ayisiyiniwak” that evokes the idea of bringing people together in the spirit of building community.

The deadline for submissions is 4:00 p.m., on Monday, Oct. 23, 2017.
All participants will be informed of the decision no later than mid  November.
