Student Services

The Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers is pleased to welcome students into the profession and our organization. Any student is welcome to use the resources on our web page, attend meetings, and participate in SASW activities around the province. However, in order to apply for the Student Award or get reduced rates for conferences and other events you must be a student member of SASW. Please see the links below for more information.

Become a Student Member

Student membership is available to any person who is enrolled in a social work education program in Saskatchewan and to Saskatchewan residents who are students in social work programs in other jurisdictions. Students must provide evidence of current registration with their application. Click here for the student application form.

Apply for a Student Award

The SASW Student award is presented to a student member of SASW enrolled in the Faculty of Social Work - University of Regina, taking classes within Saskatchewan, or in an accredited social work program outside of Saskatchewan. The Award is presented in recognition of a student’s contribution to his/her community through volunteerism. When additional funding is available two or more awards may be issued.
