Sharon Kambale
Treasurer/fundraising team lead

Sharon Kambale is a Clinical Social Worker that has several years of experience within the field of culture and community development. Acting as our program guardian, Sharon offers counselling (stress management, parental attachment, family structure, positive leadership), mental health workshops, cultural activities, parental support and resources, community engagement and culturally focused education and awareness through our program.

She leads an anti-oppressive platform that offers service within a holistic framework. Sharon acknowledges that the strengthening of our Afro-community is needed here in Saskatchewan while embracing the skills, knowledge, and support of other diverse individuals and groups.

“As the mother to three beautiful girls, my passion is in supporting women and children. I have always held the desire to make change within the lives of those around me, however, it was not until the birth of my first born, Flavia (Via for short) that I really found my purpose. Eventually came the birth of yet another girl- Françia and later Fannitia. It was at that time that the idea for #queenbmentorship was born. Queen B has now evolved into Afro-Mentorship Initiative (now including our Kings). This is the opportunity to create change within our Afro community here in Saskatchewan. As we continue to grow and become it is inevitable that those that connect within our journey will do the same.”
